Draft is the taper you provide on the walls of the part so it can be easily ejected from the die. Without a draft, the metal shrinks onto the mold as it cools, causing it to stick or gall.
Inside Walls: Require more draft because the metal shrinks onto the internal die features.
Outside Walls: Require less draft because the metal shrinks away from the outer cavity.
Standard Rule: A minimum of 1° to 2° is standard, but more is always better for tool longevity.
