Watch Out For Choosing Die Casting Parts
High Tooling Costs: Steel dies are expensive (often $10,000–$100,000+). If you only need 100 parts, CNC machining is usually cheaper.
Porosity: Small air bubbles can get trapped in the metal. If your part needs to be "pressure-tight" (like a gas tank), you may need Vacuum Die Casting.
Material Limits: Mostly limited to non-ferrous metals. Casting steel or iron is rare due to the extreme heat destroying the dies too quickly.
